Sunny is incredible! I'd been to two other laser hair removal places before her and have had much better results this time around. She was absolutely professional, explained the packages simply and very friendly. I even prefer that she is a one-room laser "spa," I never have to wait when I see her. I started with a groupon and ended up purchasing two more full packages for brazilian and underarms. I am half way through my treatment on the two packages and am seeing great results. Go see Sunny! Laserworks is an efficiently operated one-woman shop (hence the cancellation policy which every place has so I don't understand the gripe and btw, the penalty is not an exorbitant amount and certainly not more than the treatment itself - let's keep our reviews honest). If you want a faux fancy salon and faux pleasant people to make you feel special and try to sell you bling for your VJJ while they charge you significantly more, it's not the place for you. If you want excellent results at an affordable price from an honest and pleasant aesthetician (and still walk out feeling special!) then go to Sunny. I could not be happier with the service and the results. Yes, it's true, this is maybe only the third review I've posted and no, I have not been "planted" Some people do not feel compelled to post a review on every experience they've had (who has the time?). I will post a review when I feel strongly about an experience either good or bad. I first went to Laserworks when I purchased a special offer from Groupon. I was so impressed with my first 3 mini treatments that I purchases several packages and have never been more happy. The results begin to show immediately after your first few successive visits. Sunni, the technician, is amazing, warm and friendly. She wants to make sure you are comfortable, well informed about each package and appropriately prepped before your treatments. This is a very reputable and effective service which I highly recommend to anyone with unwanted hair growth. Its not a spa but hey - we have the rest of our lives to be pampered WITHOUT EVER stepping into another waxing room! I am ecstatic .. no more shaving and 5 minute showers! I have been to some of the fancier spas and have to say that this place is so much better - the quality of the laser is the best in town, and Sunni makes the experience as enjoyable as possible. She is honest and clearly cares about her clients and the services she is providing. The office was a little off-putting at first, but it's spotless and clearly keeps the costs of the services down - I would rather pay $50 less for a superior service and quality and forgo the candles! Not only is her laser so much cheaper (and cheaper then other companies) its much more effective and pain-free then the laser my dermatologist uses. I bought a Groupon and am so glad Laserworks was my first experience. I've never done laser before and I was not sure what to expect but I went to get my chin done with my wedding coming up. Sunny is quick and professional; and like everyone says on the reviews, the machine is relatively painless (it stings just a little but Sunny is patient and careful). This is the last of my 6 sessions and I see results. Yes, it does take a few more sessions for it completely go away (as far as I can tell) but I am happy with the results I've been getting. I wish I had done this sooner. The best thing about Laserworks is that it's meant to be a quick in and out visit, not an over the top, pretentious spa. One last thing-Sunny works super hard so you can pretty much get an appointment morning, lunch, evening, and weekends. If this is your first experience or a continuing one, I highly recommend Sunny! As the previous reviewers have stated, this is THE place to go for PERMANENT hair removal. Sunny has an actual cold air LASER, not IPL, not Candella...but a high grade medical laser to remove hair. Best of all, it is the most painfree laser I've ever, EVER experienced. This is the 3rd laser spot I've tried in Manhattan and it is the BEST. It's not a fancy medspa ... but you're going to get rid of unwanted hair, not a cocktail lounge. And, best of all, sunny is so friendly and down to earth and her prices are very reasonable. I was the typical person running to the threading parlor every few weeks, but not anymore! Since the beginning of this year, I have been going to Sunny at Laserworks for laser hair removal, and am thrilled with the results! First, it doesn't hurt AT ALL! That was my primary concern going in, and the cold air from the laser pretty much numbs the area completely so you might feel a momentary twinge, but it goes away in a sec. The laser they use is A-grade, and I have never felt any side effects. Second, Sunny is a star - she is super meticulous, and will spend extra time on the area - which is great news if you want to get your money's worth, and make sure every last hair goes away! Also, I haven't done a lot of shopping around for prices since I was more concerned about quality (I do have just one face!), but I haven't felt like it was overly expensive. It isn't a spa - more like a clinical office - but Sunny's enthusiasm, genuine concern for customers, and attention to detail, plus all your new hair-free areas (!) - leave you too happy to notice! I leave with a smile every time! Finally, I can't talk to the permanence of the results since I only started about 6 months ago, but I do notice a pretty significant decrease in hair growth between sessions. I am satisfied with the service and work in progress. Sunni is great. She's nice , quick, and thorough. I got my 3rd treatment of six which I purchased via Groupon. The first treatment was comfortable and to my surprise pain free. The second treatment left me with tiny scabs eventually went away. The third treatment was better. Honestly, the laser Sunni uses is painless and I don't get scared going to my appointments. The other places, damn they hurt and I dread when I see my calendar for the next appointment. I bought the groupon a few weeks ago, had my first session today. Sunny has a personal touch which is great, she knows what she's doing the client before me was so happy. I cant wait to continue and see all the amazing results. Sunny is amazing. This is the best place to get laser hair removal in the entire city if you actually want to see results. It really is an amazing technology. I can see results only after 2 sessions - I can't wait until all 6 sessions are complete and I'm hairless. It is amazing technology, I can hardly feel anything but the cold air.
